Providing the best service in the industry since 2011.
Randy and Janet Sandstrom started Prairie Dusters in 2011 with a single piston-powered airplane, and a vision to build and grow an aerial application company that could provide the best service in the industry. With dedication to safety, customer service, and professionalism, Prairie Dusters today has bases throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan, 8 aircraft, and has flown enough miles to circle the earth 12 times. Prairie Dusters is now the clear industry leader in aerial application. With the first dual cockpit GE Thrush in North America, the first GE Thrush dual control trainer in Canada, the first GE-powered aircraft manufactured in the world, the first switchback fire bomber in the world, and the first Thrush 510 powered by a 140 Pratt and Whitney in the world, we are able to ensure we can meet all of our customers needs, not matter how demanding.
Prairie Dusters is a full-service aerial application and fire suppression company, based in Shoal Lake Manitoba. Being the largest General Electric-powered fleet of Thrush aircraft in North America, we are able to treat over 20,000 acres of farmland per day. It’s no wonder why farmers from all over Manitoba and Saskatchewan depend on Prairie Dusters for fast, accurate and on-time aerial application.
